I am getting ready. The next ceremony for this Cape Cod Wedding officiant  may be in the snow. Will and Anna will wed in Washington D.C. December 30th, at the Columbus Club at Union Station.  I wrote a poem for them yesterday. I  avoided, to the best of my ability, too many baseball references.  But I have to admit in this picture it does look like there are some Whitecaps floating around my backyard in Brewster.

Oh yes, I'm authorized to officiate weddings in Washingtion D.C. now thanks to Rev. Tim Minor of The Order of Universal Interfaith. He was ordained at the New Seminary of New York City like I was. Thanks Rev. Tim.

Our family took in Whitecaps for the Cape League for about five years. Will was with us in 2004. What a great guy and now he's found the perfect woman. Anna shares his off-beat sense of humor and can put up with the life of a baseball player .... When we saw him playing in Lowell in 2006 we could tell he was crazy about her.

I don't know if there will be the crossing of the bats as they process out after I pronounce them husband and wife . She is a teacher and soccer coach so there should be someway to balance her side of the equation ...All in all, it should be a blast and so beautiful. Ahhhh, in every season, don't you just love ....love!
