Happy Valentine's Day: Getting the Ceremony Right.
A Belated Happy Valentine's Day to all, I wrote a little poem previously reread it and .....Yikes I'm rusty! or should I say, "rustic chic."
I imagine for many of you it has been a year of having and holding one another. A time like no other, letting go of idealized expectations, dreams delayed, priorities shifted and with great patience, a time to forge unbreakable ties. I honor all of you in this challenging time. But now there is hope that not only will ceremonies take place but the celebrations that go with them.
I know all of you are looking forward to more freedom and fun in 2021.
As I stare out at our snow covered lawn, hibernation comes naturally. I am keeping my schedule flexible to accomodate the unpredictable. Most importantly, to facilitate the remaining couples who have rescheduled with me, some repeatedly.
I'm available now to write ceremonies and love to do so. Coaching a one day officaint is really rewarding. Some couples have opted for a one day officiant to preside, someone who is family or perhaps in their pod. This is a safe option and oh, so family centered.
Rusty or not, we begin again, at least on pretty paper if not in person until June. Let me help make your ceremony sing: soulful, spot -on and fun.
Sincerely,
Rev. Kate -Kathleen Geagan of Soulful Ceremonies
