A bit of an Irish Wedding Blessing - Happy St. Patrick's Day

An exerpt from 'Blessing for Marriage' by  John O'Donohue from his book To Bless the Space between Us

As Spring unfolds the dream of the earth, may you bring each other's hearts to birth

As ocean finds calm in view of land, may you love the gaze of each other's mind

As twighlight harvests all day's color, may love bring you home to each other.

The time has come to cross- Naturally Elegant Wedding Ceremonies

Key Thresholds “It is wise in your own life to be able to recognize and acknowledge key thresholds: to take your time; to feel all the varieties of presence that accrue there; to listen inward with complete attention until you hear the inner voice calling you forward. The time has come to cross.”    John O’Donohue from 'To Bless the Space between Us'

A Blessing for Marriage- As Spring Unfolds .....

     For Marriage by John O’Donohue

From to Bless the Space Between Us

As spring unfolds the dream of earth,

May you bring each others hearts to birth.

As the ocean finds calm in view of land,

May you love the gaze of each other’s mind.

As the wind arises free and wild,

May nothing negative control your lives.

As kindly as moonlight might search the dark,

So gentle may you be when light grows scarce.

As surprised as the silence that music opens,

May your words for each other be touched with reverence.

As warmly as the air draws in the light,

May you welcome each other’s every gift.

As elegant as dream absorbing the night,

May sleep find you clear of anger and hurt.

As twilight harvest all the day’s color,

May love bring you home to each other.

October Bliss- Erika and Andrew Wed at Wequessett

Erika and Andrew Wed on the Crescent on the Water - Wequassett

A Classic Cape Cod Love Story

Andrew grew up on Pleasant Bay sailing the crescent of Round Cove with his brother. He met Erika, his maiden fair, at the fine Chatham establishment, 'The Squire.' She was in the midst of adding to her stemware collection when he came upon her. A delightful courtship ensued.

It was perfect for them to wed at Wequessett on the very waters where this young squire spent his youth.

And Erika was a stunningly sweet bride; she really did look like an Autumn Harvest Princess (although the flower girl was certainly a contender for some sort of precious pumkiny prize.)

The energy was exhuberant and the happiness contagious, as Andrew and Erika said, I do and stepped over the threshold and into the Country of Marriage.

The cheers filled the air as the decree went forth,

"Now it is my great honor to pronounce

                you husband and wife!"
