Sweet Simplicity: Wedding Ceremony by the Sea

This Cape Cod Wedding Ceremony Celebrant/ Officiant/ Interfaith Minister so enjoyed presiding over this Simply Sweet and Elegant wedding in March at Chatham Bars Inn Boathouse. This couple were truly wanting to keep it simple and as stress free as possible. The only moment of stress was when the darling flowergirl didn't want to let go of her grandfather's hand for one instant. When that connection was re-established the ceremony went on with out a hitch. So now Cheryl and Jon are happily hitched. May they have many, many years of marital harmony and fun together. Seaside Spring Weddings

As the blizzard warnings blow in I feel compelled to post about Seaside Spring Weddings. First of all I love the alliteration, all those lovely ssssss like soft breezes, pink sand and blossoms-at this point such imaginings are survival techniques, a willingness to hope for spring .

The Setting for another Chatham Bars Inn 'Beside the Boathouse'  wedding ceremony

So glad to say just last Saturday I presided over a wedding ceremony for a super smooth sailing couple- they were the ultimate of Sweet Simplicity. I had never met them but they promptly sent a deposit and their responses to the wedding questionnaire and we were off and running. They said they trusted me to put together a fitting ceremony so no necessity to see a draft.

We met for the first time minutes before the ceremony and all was well. The bride looked so lovely she had a little white fur wrap that she bravely surrendered for the wedding ceremony. The guest numbered about eight including a bedazzling ring bearing beauty who did her duty in grand fashion. No photos yet but I'll insert the setting and some pink flowers to soothe our snow weary souls.

Cape Cod Celtic Weddings- Happy St. Patrick's Day

I first heard this Ancient Irish Blessing at Kate and Alex's Wedding at Chatham Bars Inn. It is so beautiful to pair it with the Crowning Ceremony from the Greek and Eastern Orthodox traditions.

This Cape Cod Wedding Celebrant/Officiant muses on

ceremonies close to home on Cape Cod and some far afield. This month I presided over my first wedding in Rhode Island at the Providence Public Library. In this wedding we included the Common Cup and the Stefana Crowning since the groom was from a Greek family. The aunt of the groom did the Common Cup and presented the couple with Rosemary plant. The father of the groom crowned the couple. The bride's  9 year old nephew did a reading and one of the bridesmaid sang Songbird. The setting was elegant with lots of archways and marble staircases.

The bride and groom so beautiful and handsome and heartfelt!

Now closer to home starting at the Chatham Bars Inn Boathouse. From intimate elopement to more expansive affairs here are some pics! Elopement photos of Erika and Adam and Kerry and Ed

Let me not to the marriage of true minds

Admit impediments. Love is not love

Which alters when it alteration finds,

Or bends with the remover to remove:

O no! it is an ever-fixed mark

    That looks on tempests and is never shaken;

It is the star to every wandering bark,

Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.

Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks

Within his bending sickle's compass come:

Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,

But bears it out even to the edge of doom.

If this be error and upon me proved,

I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

"we join ourselves to the unknown….You do not know the road; you have committed your life to a way."

and that way is with each other

...protect this couple from the storms and challenges of life as they become husband and wife!

    Fidelity to Love- Hafiz

Your fidelity to love, that is all you need,

No day will then match your strength.

What was once a fear or problem will see

You coming, and step aside….or run.

This fidelity to love means you now walk through life with your  true love beside you. One with whom you can laugh and cry, grow old and feel forever young. We bless you on your way-
